The fish in the Fish Bar got lucky again last night as the FWC Boys were back in town. They (the fish) took mild revenge for the swordfish that was served up on our plates accompanied by a traditional potato purée that enhances the flavour (of the swordfish not the Boys).

Dessert was not the usual fruit but Politiko – deliciously creamy, sweet and cinammony. Christos tells me that the Turks in old Constantinople used to force the Greeks to make it for them. Sympathy all round. Assume name is a subversive Greek joke.

Whilst we waited for the pretty boys to come back from the spa, discussion turned to the various types of infinity:

(kindly) “Have you heard of infinity?”

(witheringly) “Of course I have – To infinity and beyond!”

( not so kindly) “Well do you accept that there are more numbers between zero and

one, than between one and infinity?

(withering look)” Prove it!”

So he did.

“What are you talking about?” “Different types of infinity”. “Ooh, that’s what my Masters was about”. Hurry up little fishies and send back the pretty boys.

Enough about food! This morning, back to patterns. Tum te tum. Find your floating rib, now find the other person’s – ta daa! “You’re being spoonfed, now go and practise” – sorry, slipping back to food references.

The makings of a perfect party

Every year we have a musical car, singing whilst you drive. This year, take your pick, Welsh male voice choir or Bollywood. “You have to write in the blog about this one”. Sorry, don’t do requests – I wasn’t there so it doesn’t count. So over lunch (sorry, food again – won’t tell you what it was then) I have to hear the Indian Medley so I can write about it.

The Punjabi rendition of “Twinkle twinkle little star” was a defining moment in entertainment history. There, I wrote about it. I also filmed it, so if you want to make it the next YouTube sensation I’ll do a medley edit and ask the star to film an intro – watch this space. Perhaps should get a collaboration going with the Welsh Male single voice, hmmmmm, still time.

Barbecue tonight – sorry doing it again. Would slap my own wrist but don’t want to end up in A&E. Here are some photos – goodnight.
